Delegate Anders moved to amend the bill on page 4, section 4,immediately following line 39,

by inserting the following new subsection:

“(j) Any county that enacts a public safety sales or amusement tax pursuant to this act shall be prohibited from providing a salary increase or any other additional compensation to an elected county official during any fiscal year in which a tax authorized by this act is levied: Provided, That this prohibition does not include the commission for tax collection authorized to sheriffs under §11A-1-17 of this Code.”
